How Digestco Gets Installed — and How We Know It Works
From the metering pump on the wall to the third-party lab results, here’s exactly what an installation looks like and what independent testing has actually shown.
A Simple, Automated Dosing System
GreaseBuster® can be applied by hand — poured directly into a sink, toilet, or floor drain — but most commercial sites use an automated metering pump for consistent, hands-off dosing.
Mount the Pump
The metering pump is wall-mounted near the injection point and liquid supply, using a metal mounting bracket for a clean, permanent install.
Connect the Feed Line
A chemical feed line runs from the GreaseBuster® supply container to the pump, with a standpipe ensuring consistent uptake without forming a seal against the container.
Program the Dosing Schedule
The pump is set to dose automatically on a fixed schedule — daily dosing of as little as 4 oz (120 mL) is typically all that’s needed to protect a line.
The typical commercial kitchen setup: a wall-mounted dosing pump feeds GreaseBuster® concentrate directly into the line at the pot sink, treating wastewater continuously through the grease trap, floor drain, and out to the sewer.
For larger infrastructure, Accelerate® is dosed directly into the wastewater stream at a fixed application point, with its beneficial bacteria continuing to work downstream through sewer mains and lift stations.
Two Dosing Systems, Built for Reliability
Depending on the site, we install either our own field-proven GBMP1 pump or the programmable DR-2000 for more complex scheduling needs.

Why Resident Bacteria — Not Additives
Digestco’s products are made from vegetable extracts that create a high-energy carbohydrate source. When consumed by the bacteria already present in your system, it drives a population increase — not a foreign species introduced from outside.
That’s the core difference from enzyme or bacterial-additive products, which lose effectiveness with distance from the application point and don’t persist in the environment.
